I started compiling family history books about my grandparents, so that their stories and histories did not fade away. Too many times when doing genealogy I was told just find a name so you can do the work for them. I wanted more though, I wanted to know who these people were, where they lived, what their job was, and anything else I could find out about them, so that I felt I knew them and not just a name and ordinance.

I hope by compiling these books that my children and grandchildren will be able to get to know their great grandparents and really know who they were and what they went through. So that by doing so they can know the histories of where they came from.
